Clinical Hypnosis is quite different than “stage” or amateur hypnosis. The clinical model of hypnotherapy requires advanced studies during or after psychological studies.The use of this process can be benefical for the treatment of of panic disorders, anxiety, pain, insomina, and psychosomatic disorders. It also can be used to stop destructive such as smoking or nail biting, or to ease the physiological effects of stress. Specialized clinical technques such as hypnotherapy can ehance psychotherapy and speed up the recovery process of the patient. As a Clinical Certified Hypnotherapist, I have seen many of my patients use these deep relaxation techniqniues to effect a change in their brain wave to the "alpha state" of total relaxation -- associated with both sleep and deep meditation. In conjunction with psychotherapy, I have used these techniques lower levels my patients' incidence of stress-related illness.
